Managerial Merry Go Round: Bruce Favourite For Villa But Also In Line For England

Steve Bruce is the 11/10 favourite with William Hill to be the next Aston Villa manager although given that he has been linked to the currently vacant England job (7/1), it is not a certainty and both David Wagner and Dean Smith, who have impressed in the Championship so far, are 7/2 and 6/1 respectively for the Villa Park job.

“Steve Bruce has shown interest recently in the Derby job as he looks for a job based near his Midlands home and Villa would be perfect despite his Birmingham City history,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Bruce is currently the fourth favourite for the England job behind current interim boss, Gareth Southgate at 6/5, 3/1 Ralf Rangnick and 4/1 Arsene Wenger.
