Lively Market For Sandown Gold Cup

There’s a lively betting market for Sandown’s Gold Cup on Saturday, with Southfield Theatre the best-backed horse in the antepost book.

Now, there is momentum for two horses in particular – The Young Master and Paint The Clouds.

The Young Master has shortened to 8-1 from 12-1, while Paint The Clouds has been cut to 14-1 from 16-1 with William Hill.

“Southfield Theatre was originally 25-1 and is easily the best-backed horse, but there is also some good money about for The Young Master and Paint The Clouds,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

In the National Hunt Trainers’ Championship, William Hill make Paul Nicholls the 4-6 favourite (from 8-13), with Willie Mullins 11-10.*
