Lib Dem fightback? Early Election? Brexit?

AFTER the Lib Dems landed a hefty political gamble with William Hill when they were backed from 10/11 to 1/14 to finish second in the Witney by-election, bookmakers William Hill have opened a book on how many seats they will win at the next General Election and offer 11/8 that they will end up with 12 or more; 5/4 that they have 6-11 inclusive and 3/1 five or fewer.

Hills offer 20/1 that the Lib Dems end up with more seats than any other Party at the next General Election.

With Theresa May reportedly being urged to opt for an early General Election, Hills are quoting odds of 2/1 that she calls one for 2017, although 2020 remains the odds-on favourite at 4/6. The Tories are 8/11 to win the next Election with an overall majority, with Labour 6/1 and a Hung Parliament at 13/8.

'The Lib Dems have been working hard to repair the damage they suffered at the last General Election and it is far from impossible that they will get the chance to do so next year' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
