Kiwi Clark Clear Favourite To Be UN Sec Gen

Bookmakers William Hill have slashed their odds for former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark to become the next Secretary General of the United Nations from 7/2 (stake 2 for profit of 7) joint favourite to 5/2 (stake 2 for profit of 5) clear favourite after a surge of betting support for her to get the job.

'We had identified Helen Clark as one of the front-runners as soon as she announced that she was interested in the role, but she has been easily the best backed contender and we've had to cut her odds significantly' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
