With Gianni Infantino looking into revamping the layout of the World Cup, William Hill are looking into what changes will be implemented and make a 48 team World Cup in 2026 the most likely outcome at 4/7. It is 7/2 that the competition is expanded to include 40 teams and 7/1 that it remains exactly as it is.
“Infantino is desperate to stamp his own mark on the biggest tournament in the world and he may do this by changing the format of the competition as soon as he possibly can,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
