Historic Scottish Cup Final Set To Turnover £5m

The first all Championship William Hill Scottish Cup final between Rangers and Hibs is expected to attract over £5m worth of betting turnover according to the competition’s sponsors. With just over 24 hours until kick off, 80% of all wagers have been for a Rangers win, while 14% have been for Hibs and 6% on the draw.

Rangers are 2/5 to lift the trophy and 5/6 to do so in 90 minutes while Hibs are 7/4 to finally get their hands on the silverware.

“We are expecting a huge interest in this historic final and we think turnover will skyrocket as a result,” said William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny. “The majority of punters so far are favouring a Rangers victory.”
