Hillary Deserted As Trump Bandwagon Rolls

BETTING SUPPORT for Hillary Clinton to win the US Election has virtually dried up during the last week, and the news that the FBI are again investigating her emails while she was Secretary State has seen her rival Donald Trump's odds slashed by bookmakers William Hill, who have now lengthened Clinton from her recent level of 1/9 ( stake 9 for profit of 1; 90% chance of success) to 2/7 ( stake 7 for profit of 2; 77% chance), while Trump's odds have collapsed from 11/2 (15% chance) to 11/4 ( stake 4 for profit of 11: 26% chance).

'For the last week Trump's odds have been edging downwards, and the recent FBI news has accelerated the process. Noone will touch Clinton, despite odds which just a week ago would have caused a stampede to get on!' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe, adding: 'Throughout the campaign, Clinton has attracted the heftier bets, but Trump has accounted for two thirds of all the indivudual bets placed - that percentage has certainly risen during the last 48 hours. And those stats are very similar to those recorded by us during the EU Referendum when the odds Remain was odds-on favourite, despite a large majority of the individual bets being placed on Leave, the apparent outsider. Maybe betting history is about to repeat itself.'

William Hill have also lengthened their odds for Clinton to win both this and the next Election from 2/1 to 9/4, while Trump's odds of doing likewise have been cut from 12/1 to 10/1.
