Hibees Hoodoo Comes To An End With One Punter Bagging £26,000

Hibs finally lifted the William Hill Scottish Cup for the first time since 1902 and the sponsors make them 20/1 to win it again next season. Celtic are the 6/5 favourites to win next year’s competition with Rangers 5/2 second favs.


“It was a final for the ages and while Hibs can finally celebrate after so long, the odds suggest a return to type next season,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.


The 2016 final attracted over £5m worth of turnover with the winners attracting just 18% of the total bets placed on the market although one punter took home £26,000 after placing £6,500 at 3/1 on the Hibees hoodo finally coming to an end.
