Has Osborne Suffered Leadership Setback? Google It!

Bookmakers William Hill have lengthened their odds for George Osborne to be the next elected leader of the Tories from 6/4 to 7/4 after support for him to do so dried up as the controversy over the Google tax payment raged.

'Since the Google furore broke, support for George Osborne to be next Tory Leader has vanished' said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe, 'Although we are still seeing punters backing his closest rival in the betting, Boris Johnson.Mr Osborne is usually very sure footed but he may have under-estimated the backlash over this deal.'
