Harzand Trimmed For Derby After Leopardstown Win

Harzand was a winning 2-1 favourite in the P.W. McGrath Memorial Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown and is now 16-1 from 25-1 for Epsom’s Investec Derby with William Hill.

“Although Pat Smullen thinks Harzand could be more an Irish Derby type, Epsom certainly proved no problem for the horse’s sire, so a trip to England could still be on the cards,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Earlier on the Leopardstown card, Black Sea won the 2000 Guineas Trial, but William Hill stay unchanged at 33-1 for the Derby.
