Gallant Oscar Comes For National Support

Following the latest confirmation stage for Saturday’s Crabbie’s Grand National, Many Clouds remains 7-1 favourite with William Hill, with Silviniaco Conti and The Last Samuri his nearest challengers at 12-1.

“Many Clouds is easily the worst result for us in the Grand National,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Gallant Oscar has come for support in William Hill shops and is now 25-1 from 33-1 (the move occurred prior to receiving the latest list of names for the race).

“We have laid some sizeable bets on Gallant Oscar and his price may continue to contract,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Meanwhile, Shutthefrontdoor has also shortened to 20-1 from 25-1 with William Hill in the past 24 hours.

William Hill offer 2-1 that this year’s Grand National winner will be trained in Ireland, with a Paul Nicholls victory priced at 11-2.

“The Trainers’ title could hinge on the Grand National result and Paul Nicholls will be all-out to win it,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Nicholls is currently 7-4 to win the Trainers’ Championship, with Mullins 2-5 favourite.
