Frankie Flies Home On Wings Of Desire

Frankie Dettori partnered Wings Of Desire to victory in the Dante Stakes and the winner is now 9-2 from 25-1 with William Hill for the Investec Derby. Immediately after the race Wings Of Desire was 5-1, but punters have already come for the John Gosden-trained colt.

Runner-up Deauville has also been cut to 8-1 from 25-1 for Epsom glory.

William Hill trimmed US Army Ranger to 4-1 from 9-2. Minding remains 5-2 with a run with Hills.

“This year’s Derby looks wide open and it is as much a puzzle for bookmakers as it is for punters,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Midterm was a highly disappointing Dante favourite and is now out to 10-1 from 11-4.
