First Odds Cut Of Voting Day To Trump

AFTER a run of support, including one bet of £5000 in a London West End betting shop, William Hill have shortened Donald Trump's Presidential odds from 7/2 to 10/3 (23%chance), while Hillary Clinton's have lengthened from 1/5 to 2/9 (81%).

'The odds as they stand are virtually identical to the betting on EU Referendum day when Remain was 2/9 and Brexit 3/1' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. 'Over 70% of the bets have been placed online - where Hillary is a small loser for us, but in the shops Donald Trump is a massive loser for us, so we're with Mrs Clinton at the moment - a win for her rather than Trump would currently make a half million pound difference between the potential profit and loss.'

Hills have taken a record betting turnover for any political betting event of £4million on the outcome of the US Election.

One William Hill female online client has a 550,000 euro bet riding on Hillary, with a potnetial profit of 220,000, while the biggest Trump bet is from a Nottinham man who has £37,000 on him at 7/4, for a potential profit of £64,750.
