FIFA Presidential Race: Two Horse Race As Sheikh Salman And Infantino Open Gap

With just one week until the FIFA Presidential election, it is Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al Khalifa who heads the betting with William Hill. He is 8/15 to get the gig having once been as long as 7/1 in the betting.

Gianni Infantino is the 6/4 second favourite in what looks to be a two horse race.

Long-time favourite Prince Ali bin Al Hussein is 8/1 having been as short as 1/3 when betting first opened.

“The betting on the next FIFA President has had more twists and turns than the voting for a World Cup but with one week to go, there look to be just two outstanding candidates,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Next permanent FIFA President: 8/15 Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al Khalifa; 6/4 Gianni Infantino; 8/1 HRH Prince Ali al Hussein; 66/1 Jerome Champagne; 66/1 Tokyo Sexwale
