Dilly Ding Dilly Gong: Ranieri's Knighthood Odds Cut!

William Hill have cut the odds of Claudio Ranieri receiving an honorary knighthood from 20/1 to 16/1 on the back of Leicester's incredible Premier League victory.

"Ranieri has been the figurehead of one of the greatest sporting stories of all time and the odds of him receiving a knighthood in June are tumbling," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

The success story is made all the more special given that the Leicester side was made up of bargains and cast offs, although the band of brothers may be broken up in the summer. Kante is 8/13 to have left the club before the closing of the summer transfer window, while Mahrez is 1/2 to do so. Three other key players however look likely to stay put with Schmeichel, Vardy and Drinkwater all 1/6 to remain.

"Leicester were always going to struggle to keep hold of their key men and with Kante & Mahrez looking likely to leave, it is imperative that the owners get their cheque book out," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Leicester are 1/50 to win team of the year at BBC SPOTY while Jamie Vardy is 3/1 to win the individual award joint favourite with Anthony Joshua.
