Clinton Favourite But Bookies Fear Trump

Hilary Clinton has been backed from 5/6 to 8/11 to win the US Presidential Election with William Hill, after they took a flurry of four figure bets for her. But William Hill say they are facing a much bigger payout on 7/2 second favourite Donald Trump, should he emerge as the winner of the race to the White House.

"Hillary Clinton has been the clear favourite since betting began, but the amount of liabilities we have acquired as Donald Trump's odds have tumbled mean that a win for him will cost us dear" said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Meanwhile, William Hill have predicted that they will take more money on the outcome of the US Election than they did for last year's British General Election. "We took some £3m on the General Election, but expect to take £4m or more on the US Election" said Sharpe.
