Brexit Bets To Bash Bookies

'We are staring down the barrel of a six figure Brexit-bashing' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe, ''Although we keep taking hefty bets for 'Remain' - £10,614.83 from a Somerset client, and £10,000 from a South London customer on Saturday alone- the sheer volume of smaller bets for Brexit (including one of £1500 in a Birkenhead betting shop on Saturday) keeps forcing the odds down.'

And Hills say the percentage of individual bets for Brexit has now risen from 70% to 72%, while the total of money staked for Remain has fallen from 73% to 69%. 'The trend of individual bets AND overall stake money has moved significantly in favour of Brexit on Saturday, on what is shaping up as easily our busiest day's betting on the Referendum so far' added Sharpe.'We remain on course to exceed the £3.25m we took on the Scottish Referendum, which became the biggest political betting event ever. Some £20m is likely to be at stake industry-wide.'

MEANWHILE, Hills have shortened their odds a voter turnout of 68% or more from 13/8 to Even money, with Under 68% lengthened from 4/9 to 8/11.
