Bookmakers Bouncing After Beating Favourites

William Hill were toasting the outsiders after a succession of favourites were turned over at Aintree.

Punters were in front after the first day of the Grand National meeting, but bookmakers pulled clear after Day 2, as well-backed favourites such as Limini and Vautour were beaten.

“After the first two rounds it is honours even between punters and bookies and it will all come down to the Grand National, where Many Clouds could be one of the worst Grand National results of all time if he wins,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
