Bookies To Be Biffed By Clyro?

Following the announcement that Leeds and Reading had announced Foals and Disclosure as joint headliners to join the Red Hot Chili Peppers, William Hill released a market on who would be the final act to fill the top spot on the Main Stage. At 14:36 on Thursday, betting was suspended following a systematic gamble on Biffy Clyro.

The Scottish trio were offered at 16/1 and considered relative outsiders for the slot, however a number of new accounts were opened in order to back them.

“Our rationale behind offering Biffy at such a long price was derived mainly from the fact that they only did it in 2013, however, with a new album out this year and a number of people backing them, it would seem as though our intuition was misguided,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
