Bookies Set To Take £100m On Super Sunday…
The bookmakers are battening down the hatches for what looks like a Super Sunday of sport. With Andy Murray taking on Milos Raonic at Wimbledon, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg set to go head to head at Silverstone and France taking on Portugal in the Euro 2016 Final, William Hill are predicting that the entire industry could turnover £100m over the course of the day.
“Of course we would have liked a Wales or England to reach the Euros final but given that there is British interest at Silverstone and SW19 means that turnover will be through the roof,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Plus, despite the lack of a British side in the Euros, Sunday evening’s game will still be one of the biggest betting football matches of all time.”
Andy Murray is red hot favourite to win the Wimbledon final at 2/7.
