Bookies Predict Midterm Will Ace Dante Test

Sir Michael Stoute’s Midterm heads the betting at 6-4 with William Hill for the Dante Stakes. Golden Horn won the Dante before landing the Derby last year, while Sir Michael Stoute trained North Light to win both the Dante and the Derby in 2004. He also did the double with Shahrastani in 1986.

“Sir Michael Stoute knows what it takes to win the Dante and the Derby and with his yard in such great form, Midterm could be very tough to beat at both York and Epsom,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke. “Midterm will be a very short price for the Derby if he wins the Dante.”

Midterm is 11-4 to win this year’s Investec Derby.
