Bookies Hit By Bets Before Killultagh Vic Announcement

Following the news that Killultagh Vic has been ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival, William Hill revised their market and Bristol De Mai is the new favourite.

Killultagh Vic was 2-1 favourite for the JLT Novices’ Chase prior to being scratched, while Bristol De Mai was 11-2.

William Hill witnessed some strong market support for Bristol De Mai before the news was announced and cut the horse to 9-2. The market was then suspended upon reports of Killultagh Vic being removed from the potential JLT line-up.

“It appears the news has leaked before reaching the bookmakers and that has allowed some punters to get money on at longer odds before we were able to revise the market,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Bristol De Mai now leads the way at 3-1 with William Hill, with More Of That and Outlander at 5-1.
