Back-to-back William Hill World Darts Champion Gary Anderson a 7/2 shot to complete the hat-trick
Gary Anderson retained his William Hill World Championship title after defeating Adrian Lewis 7-5 in sets in the final at Alexandra Palace in London. ‘The Flying Scotsman’ is now rated a 7/2 shot by the tournament sponsors to make it a hat-trick of titles at the 2016/2017 William Hill World Darts Championship.
Adrian ‘Jackpot’ Lewis, who was a gallant runner-up, is quoted at 10/1 shot to go one better next year.
“Gary Anderson has proved his pedigree once again on the Alexandra Palace stage, said William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny.
“He’s clearly the man to beat and it will take an almighty effort to deny him a hat-trick of world titles.”
