Are Europeans Revolting? Bet On It...

BOOKMAKERS William Hill think the Italians will vote 'No' in Sunday's referendum, rejecting the Prime Minister's proposed constitutional reforms, and have installed that option as their 1/3 (75% chance) favourite, with a Yes vote offered at 9/4.

Hills are also betting on which country will be the next to quit the EU - and make Italy 10/1 joint fourth favourites to do so.

Austria is a 14/1 chance to be the next country to leave, and Hills make Norbert Hifer 2/5 (71%) favourite to win their Presidential Election, with Alexander van der Bellen a 7/4 chance.

Meanwhile, in France, the 5/2 second favourite to be next country to quit, Hills make Francois Fillon 2/5 favourite to win the Presidential Election, with Marine Le Pen 9/4; Emmanual Macron 14/1; Manuel Valls 33/1 and Francois Hollande 40/1.

'After record political betting turnover on the Brexit and Trump markets, European politics is now proving more popular than ever before with our clients- we're just hoping the results aren't as punter-friendly!' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
