Alice Springs Gamble In Falmouth

Alice Springs was heavily backed before ‘the off’ of the Falmouth Stakes and the late money proved to be right, with Aidan O’Brien’s filly successful. She is now 12-1 from 20-1 for the Sussex Stakes with William Hill.

“Alice Springs was very well supported just before the start and the money was spot on,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Meanwhile, favourite Usherette performed poorly and it’s back to the drawing board for Andre Fabre.

Earlier on the card, Roly Poly took victory in the Cherry Hinton (now known as the Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes) – she is now 25-1 for the 2017 Qipco 1000 Guineas with William Hill.
