Will Sterling Row See The End Of Rodgers?

With Raheem Sterling announcing that he does not want to head on Liverpool’s pre-season tour, nor play for Brendan Rodgers, William Hill are offering 1/5 that he has left the club before the season has kicked off and 7/1 that he is on the Liverpool plane as they jet off to Australia this weekend.

Sterling has made it clear that he does not wish to play for Brendan Rodgers yet he is 7/2 to feature in Liverpool’s first game of the season. Given the nature of the falling out between manager and prized asset, it is 10/1 that Brendan Rodgers is no longer Reds boss come the final day of the upcoming season.

“At times last season, Rodgers looked as though he was on the brink of leaving Liverpool and he is already favourite to be the next manager to leave his job,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “The Sterling row could well be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.”
