Will Bookies Be Bashed By Bond Betting Coup?

Britain’s biggest bookmaker William Hill could be shaken by one of the most dastardly gambles in recent memory as the astonishing gamble on Damian Lewis continues. On Sunday night Damian Lewis was a 25/1 chance to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond but that price has been backed all the way into 6/4, with hundreds of bets placed across the globe. The latest odds (3/1 – down from 10/1) ) now suggest that Spectre could be the final film with Daniel Craig as 007.

“If proved correct this would be an astonishing betting coup, in fact it could have graced the pages of an Ian Fleming novel. We will be hoping that Daniel Craig does not get killed off in the next instalment,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
