Who backed Who Shot Thebarman?

Some large all-in bets prior to the Schweppes Sydney Cup final field being announced has ensured Who Shot Thebarman will go into the Group 1 as one of the main fancies at

Who Shot Thebarman has been installed a $4.50 second favourite behind Hartnell ($2.70) at William Hill, with plenty of punters taking advantage of his all-in price late on Monday.

“We saw a $10,000 bet and plenty of others for Who Shot Thebarman at $6 before we suspended the all-in book,” said William Hill’s Andrew Brown.

“The favourite is going to be tough to beat but there’s certainly plenty of money around to suggest Who Shot Thebarman can turn the tables from their last meeting in The BMW.”

Reigning Melbourne Cup champion Protectionist is a $5.50 chance with William Hill, while Red Cadeaux ($8.50) is the only other runner in single figures.

In The Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Contributer is the $3.40 favourite at William Hill in front of To The World ($3.90) and reigning William Hill Cox Plate champion Adelaide ($7).
