Politics General Election By Graham Sharpe

What will General Election turnout be?

William Hill have begun offering odds about what the percentage turnout at the General Election will be - and the bookies are betting it will be much the same as at the 2010 General Election, when the turnout was 65.1%.

'Politicans are desperate to persuade everyone to vote in the General Election, but we think it is likely that only around two thirds of those eleigible actually will do so' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Hills offer 5/4 that over 65% to 70% will vote; 11/4 over 70% to 75%; 3/1 Over 60% to 65%; 10/1 Over 75%; 11/1 55-60%; 20/1 Under 55%.
