Weather Betting Bonanza As Hot Spell Prompts Punters To Pile In

William Hill have slashed the odds of 2015 being the hottest on record after a mild winter gave way to a warm spring. The odds of the average temperature this year being the warmest are 2/1 having been as long as 10/1 at New Year.

It is 14/1 from 16/1 that the UK summer temperature breaks the individual day record of 38.5c and 16/1 that the warmest ever April day is beaten this month.

“The mild winter and lovely start to the spring that we have been experiencing has led to punters parting with their pennies that the mercury will peak higher than ever before,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

It is 8/1 that the temperature tops 100f at any point this year.
