Wales Given Rankings Boost Ahead Of Qualifiers… Will It Last?

With Wales above England in the FIFA Rankings for the first time in history, William Hill do not think it will be for long, offering 1/2 that the Three Lions have moved back above the Dragons by the time the Euros kick off in the summer of next year.

Wales are just 1/16 to qualify for the tournament and victory over Cyprus and Israel during the current international break will see them do so. They are also 21/20 to win Group B.

Chris Coleman’s side are just 4/5 to win away in Cyprus tonight, 7/2 to lose and 5/2 for the draw.

“Chris Coleman has continued the fantastic work that Gary Speed started and qualification for the Euros, which looks a near certainty, would be fantastic for everyone,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Group B winner: 5/6 Belgium; 21/20 Wales; 16/1 Bosnia; 40/1 Israel; 250/1 Cyprus

Cyprus vs Wales match winner: 7/2 Cyprus; 5/2 draw; 4/5 Wales

Who will be higher in the FIFA rankings at the start of Euro 2016: 1/2 England; 6/4 Wales
