UKIP Could Lose MP Carswell

BOOKMAKERS WILLIAM HILL have opened a book on whether Ukip's only elected MP, Douglas Carswell, will remain a member of the Party all the way through until the next General Election following reports of disagreements between him and Party officials. Hills offer 8/11 that he will still be representing UKIP when the nextGeneral Election is called, and Even money that he is not.

Hills are also offering odds of 7/4 that UKIP leader Nigel Farage will win a by-election before the next General Election.

'There are rumours that all is perhaps not sweetness and light between Messrs Carswell and Farage' said Hill' s spokesman Graham Sharpe. 'Carswell is only a 6/4 chance to succeed Nigel Farage when he eventually manages to stand down as leader.'
