Two English Youngsters Dominate Headlines Ahead Of Premier League’s Return

William Hill have today cut their price of Raheem Sterling joining Manchester City in the summer from 6/1 to 9/2 as speculation over his contract rumble on. Brendan Rodgers has ome out and said that whatever happens, Sterling will stay at Liverpool next season and he is odds on to stay there – 8/13.

The other big story over international week was the continued rise of Harry Kane and he is just 2/1 to win the PFA Player of the Year award having been 250/1 at the start of the season. He is also just 6/4 to be the Premier League’s top scorer – joint favourite with Diego Costa.

“It seems as though international week was dominated with stories about two young English players, some positive and some negative and while one is in the headlines regarding stories off the field, the other is letting his football determine what is written about him,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
