Turner Prize: Rush Of Money For Assemble

Bookmakers William Hill can report a surge of bets for Assemble in the Turner Prize betting. The announcement is due to be made live on Monday and as the hours tick down, the money has come for Assemble.

Originally, William Hill installed Assemble as the 2/1 favourites on the 12th May when the shortlist was announced – but that price has tumbled in the past 24 hours and they are now odds-on favourites at a price of 1/2.

“There has been a rush of new accounts being opened and the majority of money is being wagered on Assemble,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

In fact, 60% of the money is for Assemble and as that flow of cash has come in, the prices of the other artists has drifted.

Janice Kerbel is the 3-1 second favourite, while Bonnie Camplin and Nicole Wermers are both outsiders at 9-1 to win.
