‘Touch and go’ Coneygree installed 'With A Run' for the Hennessy

Following the news that Coneygree is ‘touch and go’ for the Hennessy Gold Cup, William Hill have gone 11/4 ‘With A Run’ about last year’s Gold Cup hero.

The Bradstocks’ stable star spread a plate on his left-hind foot and his participation looks to hinge on whether he can return to the gallops by the end of the week.

Another of the runners near the top of the betting, Saphir Du Rheu, remains on target for the winter’s greatest handicap and with doubts surrounding the favourite, Paul Nicholls’ runner is now 7/2 with William Hill.

Smad Place and Bobs Worth are also prominent in the market at 8/1 and 10/1 respectively and both showed their well-being with successful reappearances.

‘It looks to be a great renewal of the Hennessy and we want to see the likes of Coneygree take his chance. Hopefully he’ll make it to Newbury, but as added insurance for backers we’ve installed him in the market at 11/4 - with a run,’ said William Hill spokesman Mark Walton.
