Tories To Turn Off Beeb Licence Fee?

William Hill have cut the odds of the BBC licence fee being abolished before 2020 from 6/4 to 11/10 following David Cameron’s appointment of  John Whittingdale as the new Culture Secretary.

Hills make it an odds-on chance at 1/3 that the licence fee will be reduced from its current £145.50 in this Parliament.

“We believe there is a very real chance that the licence fee will be at least reduced, and possibly abolished entirely, in this Parliament,” said William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.
