The Flat Championship: The Two Richards

Champion Trainer Richard Hannon is the 4-7 favourite with William Hill to land a second successive title in 2015, after landing a debut Championship in his rookie season. Aidan O’Brien is his nearest rival and has shortened from 4-1 to 10-3, while John Gosden’s odds have eased to 7-2 from 3-1.

Meanwhile in the Flat Jockeys’ Championship, it’s all about Richard Hughes according to the betting – he’s shortened considerably since the news that Ryan Moore would ride more for Ballydoyle this season. Bookmakers William Hill offer just 4-11 (from 4-7) that the reigning champ picks up the crown in his final year in the saddle. Ryan Moore has eased significantly to odds of 10-3 from 2-1.

“Hannon and Hughes look like they will sweep all before them in another winner-packed season,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
