Nairo Quintana is odds-on in William Hill’s new Tour De France market – the winner without Chris Froome. The Team Sky rider looks a near-certainty to win the yellow jersey, so Hills have priced up the chance of his rivals fighting it out behind him.

Quintana is 2-7 to be the best rider ‘Without Froome’, while Alberto Contador and Tejay Van Garderen are both 8-1 with William Hill.

“Chris Froome appears to be in a league of his own this year, but Nairo Quintana can be the man to follow him home,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
