Support For Amicus At Long Odds For Coolmore Classic
The Chris Waller-trained Amicus is attracting plenty of support to cause an upset in Saturday’s Group 1 Coolmore Classic at Rosehill Gardens.
Bookmaker WilliamHill.com.au has taken one bet of $4,000 at $26 and several other wagers for the Thousand Guineas winner, forcing her price into $19.
“She finished off her race well enough last start and gets a three kilo swing on the favourite, so there is some case for her,” said William Hill’s Andrew Brown.
First Seal remains the $1.70 favourite at William Hill, with Plucky Belle ($9.00) the only other runner in single figures.
