Sprinter Sacre - Return of the King

The world’s highest-rated racehorse is set for action in the Sodexo Clarence House Chase on Saturday after being declared for the race at the 48-hour stage. Sprinter Sacre, who has been out of action since pulling up in the 2013 Desert Orchid Chase, is the 6-5 favourite with William Hill to win at the weekend, with Dodging Bullets second in the list at 2-1.

“All sports need superstars and as bookmakers we are excited by the prospect of seeing Sprinter Sacre, who will split opinion on whether he can return to the same devastating level of ability that took our breath away in previous races. We expect now he’s likely to line-up, his fans will be keen to back him and we could be bowled over with bets,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

The small field is completed by Twinlight  at 11-2, Somersby at 6-1 and Grey Gold at 33-1.
