Spectre Of Sam Smith Looms Large Above Bond Theme Discussio

Noel Gallagher has today come out and claimed that he would love to perform the theme for the next James Bond outing, Spectre, but does not feel he is famous enough. William Hill may not agree about the understated levels of his own fame yet still rate him as a 16/1 shot to perform the title track for the new movie due out in November.

Instead, it is Sam Smith who heads the betting at 6/4 followed by Ed Sheeran at 8/1.

“There is no doubting that Noel would write a belter of a tune for James Bond, but given the last 18 months that Sam Smith has had you would have to think that he is the man to get the role,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

To sing the title track for the new James Bond film, Spectre: 6/4 Sam Smith; 8/1 Ed Sheeran; 10/1 Lana del Rey; 10/1 Lorde; 10/1 Rita Ora; 12/1 Taylor Swift; 14/1 Adele; 14/1 Coldplay; 16/1 Ellie Goulding; 16/1 Florence and the Machine; 16/1 Katy Perry; 16/1 Lady Gaga; 16/1 Noel Gallagher; 16/1 One Direction; 16/1 Thirty Seconds To Mars; 16/1 Tom Jones
