Sole Praying For Temple Success

Sole Power is a top-priced 4-1 favourite with William Hill for this weekend’s Temple Stakes at Haydock, but it looks a hot affair, with four other horses at single figure odds.

Temple favourite, Sole Power, was last seen in Meydan where he landed the Al Quoz Sprint. Second in the list is Goldream at 6-1 who won the Palace House Stakes at Newmarket earlier this month, while last year’s winner G Force is alongside Godolphin all-weather specialist Pretend at 7-1 in the betting.

“Sole Power is the one to beat but in such a competitive looking race the bookmakers will be out to get him,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Temple Stakes: 4-1 Sole Power, 6-1 Goldream, 7-1 G Force, Pretend, 8-1 Danzeno, 10-1 Hot Streak, Take Cover, 14-1 Pearl Secret, 16-1 Kingsgate Native, Robot Boy, 20-1 Great Minds, Jack Dexter, Maarek, 25-1 Justice Day, Steps, 33-1 Wind Fire, (EW 1/5 Odds Places 1,2,3)
