Smad Wins Hennessy But Misses King George

Smad Place won a thrilling renewal of the Hennessy Gold Cup and William Hill installed the exciting grey at 10-1 to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Unfortunately for the King George sponsor, Smad Place will bypass the William Hill Winter Festival and head to the Cotswold Chase instead.

“Smad Place has won with aplomb and is yet another name to add to the list of potential Gold Cup winners,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
