Shortest Odds Ever Offered On Weather Records Being Broken since 2003
William Hill are offering just 2/1 that 2015 is the hottest year on record and 14/1 that the hottest ever day in the UK is broken this year – the shortest price since the current record was set in 2003. With weather forecasters predicting that 2015 could well be a hot one, the odds of the temperature hitting 40C for the first time ever is just 20/1 – the shortest price it has ever been.
“20/1 may seem like a bit of a long shot but it is the shortest price we have ever offered for the weather to hit 40C and don’t forget that a 25/1 shot won the National at the weekend so these things do happen from time to time,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “There is more chance of it happening this year than any previous year – by a long distance!”
