Same sex marriage tipped for 2015

The odds of same sex marriage being legalised in 2015 have been released by WilliamHill.com.au following news that a cross-party bill on marriage equality will reportedly come before Federal Parliament in August.

2015 is the $1.50 favourite for the year that same sex marriage becomes legal while Tony Abbott remains favoured to be Prime Minister at the time, despite his opposition towards the issue.

“Tony Abbott’s views are clear on same-sex marriage, so it will be interesting to see if he’ll actually be Prime Minister if and when the potential bill becomes legalised,” William Hill’s Tim Ashworth said

Despite introducing a bill of his own earlier this year, Labor Leader Bill Shorten remains behind Malcolm Turnbull to be PM at the time.
