Rugby World Cup: England Remain 5/1 After Unconvincing Victory
William Hill have not cut the odds of England winning the rugby World Cup despite a comfortable if not wholly convincing victory at Twickenham. They are 5/1 second favourites to win the competition.
“The bonus point victory was huge and England have set themselves off to a very good start,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “Despite that, they looked somewhat lacklustre for the first 60 minutes of the match and we are happy to keep them at 5/1.”
World Cup winner: 6/5 New Zealand; 5/1 England; 7/1 Australia; 7/1 South Africa; 10/1 Ireland; 16/1 France; 25/1 Wales; 50/1 BAR
