Q Awards: Noel To Win Britpop Battle 20 Years After It Started

It looks as though Noel Gallagher could come out on top as the Oasis vs Blur rivalry sparks back into life over 20 years since it started. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are the 2/1 favourites to win the Best Album at the Q Awards according to William Hill, an award for which Blur are offered at 7/2. In the incredibly tight betting market for Best Act In The World, William Hill have three joint favourites with Ed Sheeran, Foals and Noel Gallagher all 3/1.

“It feels like 1995 all over again and unlike back then, it looks like Noel may come out on top,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
