Postponed Crowned In King George

Postponed edged a nose in front of Eagle Top to win the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes and William Hill offer new prices for both the victor and the runner-up of 20-1 for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

The Luca Cumani-trained runner appeared to have been headed by Eagle Top, only to rally again and get up on the line.

However, the race was without Golden Horn, who was pulled out on account of the ground earlier in the day. He is 7-2 second-favourite for the Arc behind 9-4 favourite Treve.

“Postponed has shown a great attitude to win, but Treve and Golden Horn are still the ones they all have to catch in the Arc market,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
