Political Punters Poised For 6 Figure Corbyn Payout

JEREMY CORBYN'S Labour leadership odds have been cut yet again - this time from 3/10 to 2/7 (stake £7 for potential £2 profit) by William Hill following another flurry of support for the 200/1 outsider-turned-odds-on-favourite, including one wager of £1200 from a betting shop customer in Durham.

'Almost from day one, when he was considered a 200/1 no-hoper, political punters have piled their cash on Corbyn, regardless of how far the odds have shortened, to the point where it has become impossible for us to make a profit on the outcome if he wins, and we are facing a six figure Corbyn clobbering' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

  • NEXT ELECTED LABOUR LEADER....2/7 Corbyn; 7/2 Burnham; 8/1 Cooper; 100/1 Kendall.
  • CORBYN TO WIN ON FIRST PREFERENCE VOTES..8/11 Yes; Evens No.
  • CORBYN TO LEAD LABOUR INTO GENERAL ELECTION IF BECOMING LEADER?.....2/7 NO; 5/2 YES.
  • LABOUR LEADER TO BE ANNJOUNCED ON SCHEDULED SEPT 12 DATE?......1/8 YES; 9/2 NO
