Poldark Finale Tipped To Top 10m Viewers
With the finale of Poldark on Sunday, William Hill are offering 3/1 it draws in more than 10m viewers.
“Poldark has been one of the TV hits of the year so far and while the average viewing figures have been around 8.5m throughout the series, there will undoubtedly be a spike for the final episode,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Leading actor Aidan Turner is 2/1 to win best actor at the 21st National Television Awards next year.
His odds of becoming the next James Bond after Daniel Craig have halved since the start of the series from 50/1 to 25/1 although he remains behind the frontrunners - Idris Eba at 2/1, Henry Cavill at 4/1 and Tom Hardy at 11/2.
“With Poldark finishing on Sunday, the men of Great Britain will finally be able to walk around with their tops off again given Mr Turner will no longer be putting us to shame, although we may be seeing a lot more of him as his odds of being the next James Bond have halved since the start of the show,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
